Former Konga CEO Nick Imudia Commits Suicide

This recounts the tragic story of Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a major e-commerce company in Nigeria.

Nick, who served as the CEO of D.light before his passing, ended his life by jumping from the balcony of his residence in Lekki, Lagos on June 25. Prior to taking this drastic step, he phoned his brother in the US to provide guidance on how to distribute his assets in case of any eventuality.

Nick also spoke with his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her of his eternal presence by asking her to look up at the sky to feel his presence. His loved ones, including family and friends, are bewildered by the reasons behind his suicide. Hailing from the Ika South local government area of Delta State, Nick was previously married to his daughter’s mother, with whom he parted ways due to irreconcilable disagreements.

Following this, he remarried a Caucasian woman, with many assuming he had found contentment, only to be shocked by the news of his tragic end. Before his tenure at Konga, Nick held positions at TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and at Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa.
