Visa launches 2.5 million grant competition for female entrepreneurs in Kenya

Visa has launched its She’s Next global advocacy program in Kenya to support women business owners.

The program aims to assist women entrepreneurs through funding, training, and mentorship opportunities. Eligible women from various industries can apply for a grant of up to KES 2.5 million. Selected applicants will also receive training sessions provided by Visa and its partners.

Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Visa Kenya Country Manager, expressed enthusiasm for bringing She’s Next to Kenya, emphasizing the importance of empowering women in driving economic growth.

“We are excited to bring She’s Next to Kenya and provide a platform for female entrepreneurs to thrive. We believe in the power of women to drive economic growth and societal progress, and this is an opportunity to provide the resources, tools, and support women need to grow their businesses”, said Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Visa Kenya Country Manager.

Kayana Create, as the capacity-building partner, is pleased to collaborate with Visa to empower female entrepreneurs and foster a community focused on collaboration and growth.

Visa has invested over $3 million in grants and coaching for women entrepreneurs globally since 2020.

The application deadline for She’s Next Kenya is June 12th, with winners set to be announced in July. Interested applicants can submit their information through the She’s Next Kenya | Visa website.
