Berlag Investement Ltd unveils Bel Frites; first indigenous pre-fried frozen French fries in Nigeria.

Berlag Investment Limited, an Indigenous company with a global reach, has unveiled Bel frites, the first indigenous pre-fried frozen French fries in the country.

The product was unveiled at the Ikorodu, Lagos where the company’s newly completed company is located and looks to provide an estimate of 1,000 new jobs to support the Federal Government’s economy recovery growth plan as well as improve food self sufficiency in the country.

Prince Adebola Akitoye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company said he unveiling was a demonstration of the company’s faith in the despite recent economic upturns.

He went further to point out that Bel frites which is a pre- fried and frozen straight cut French fries was the first of its kind to be ever produced in the country and brought the expertise of its parent’s company Berlag Investment Limited to the fore.

Bel fries according to him was founded 10 years ago to present a balanced projection of first produced and manufactured potato fries in Nigeria and uphold integrity and help elevate Nigeria’s economy.

According too Akitoye, the BelFrites was well planned to stand out across Nigeria and Africa at large so as to present a balanced potato fries

“The company’s objective is to ensure that belfrites become a household name throughout the globe, having put in place good low cost pricing and made available different sizes and kilogrammes that everyone can afford”.

“We would partner with restaurants, hotels and super markets to accelerate the development and growth of belfrites and with time, we would make it a global brand.” He said.

He added that the launch falls in line with the company’s business development strategy and as a responsible corporate citizen.

The Chief Operating officer of Belfrites foods, Mr. Odiri Asagba on his part said the company is poised to revolutionize the market and industry.
