FastClaim Unveils AI Platform to Revolutionise Nigeria’s Motor Insurance Claims

by Radarr Africa

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FastClaim Solutions Limited, Uche Okugo, has announced that the company’s new AI-powered platform is designed to automate, simplify, and speed up the process of filing and processing motor insurance claims in Nigeria.

Okugo made this known in a statement on Monday while outlining the company’s strategic partnerships with insurance firms operating under the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA).

He said the FastClaim App leverages artificial intelligence, real-time remote vehicle inspections, and automated damage assessment to eliminate the delays and inefficiencies that have long plagued the country’s motor insurance sector.

“Through the innovative use of mobile technology, AI, and real-time validation, FastClaim turns complexity into simplicity. We are not just automating claims; we are humanising the entire experience,” Okugo stated.

For decades, Nigerian motorists seeking insurance compensation have faced lengthy paperwork, slow field inspections, and extended waiting times before claims are resolved. FastClaim aims to change this by allowing users to initiate and complete claims directly from their mobile phones, eliminating the need for physical site visits in most cases.

Using a guided digital interface, policyholders can capture images and videos of damaged vehicles, which are then analysed by the platform’s AI engine to generate instant repair estimates. This process, according to the firm, shortens turnaround time from days to minutes.

The company said the platform’s introduction has been widely welcomed by both insurers and customers. Insurers have reportedly recorded improved operational efficiency, enhanced fraud detection, and greater control over claims management, while customers commend the app for its transparency, speed, and ease of use.

Following early adoption feedback, FastClaim disclosed that it has upgraded its system with higher AI precision, geo-tagging, and guided video walkthroughs to ensure accuracy and prevent fraudulent claims. The firm also revealed plans to introduce multilingual support to make the platform more inclusive and accessible across Nigeria’s diverse population.

In addition, FastClaim is developing a built-in dispute resolution feature to foster fairness and accountability in claim decisions, ensuring that both insurers and customers have confidence in the process.

Okugo said the company’s vision is to make claim settlement as seamless as a digital transaction, while maintaining the human touch that builds trust between insurers and policyholders.

He emphasised that the collaboration with NIA-member insurers underscores the insurance industry’s growing commitment to digital transformation, customer satisfaction, and AI-driven efficiency.

FastClaim’s emergence reflects a broader wave of innovation sweeping through Nigeria’s financial and insurance technology landscape, as firms adopt advanced tools to simplify operations and improve user experience.
