The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced a rise in Nigeria’s inflation rate to 24.23% for March 2025. This figure shows an increase from the 23.18% recorded in February 2025.
In its Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released on Tuesday, NBS revealed that the CPI rose to 117.34 points in March, representing a 4.4-point jump compared to the previous month.
The report also stated that the inflation rate increased by 1.05% month-on-month, showing that prices of goods and services are climbing faster than before.
The continuous rise in inflation has raised concerns among economic analysts and citizens, as it affects the cost of living, food prices, and purchasing power of the average Nigerian.
