Africa’s leading digital payment and commerce company, Interswitch, has launched a new Masterbrand campaign aimed at showcasing its crucial but often unseen role in powering the day-to-day lives of Africans. The campaign, which builds on the company’s ‘Never Stop’ brand philosophy, was officially unveiled on Wednesday, June 25 at a premiere screening held at the Interswitch Innovation Lab in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The brand’s latest television commercial is not just another corporate advert. According to Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Interswitch Group, it is a “cultural moment” that represents the company’s vision to enable progress, empower dreams, and support the rhythm of commerce and connectivity across Africa.
“This commercial is not just a brand film; it is a cultural moment. It reflects who we are and why we exist—to empower progress and fuel the heartbeat of connection across Africa,” Eromosele said during the launch.
The new campaign is deeply rooted in storytelling, visuals, and emotional impact, making it a departure from the traditional style of corporate marketing. It features real-life scenarios involving commuters, traders, students, mothers, and entrepreneurs, each representing how Interswitch’s digital infrastructure supports their daily hustle and critical life moments—from mobile payments and health transactions to education and small business operations.
The launch event was designed as an experience-first gathering that brought together media professionals, tech innovators, and creative influencers in a unique atmosphere. The focus was on connecting emotionally with the audience, rather than just announcing a new product.
Speaking on the creative direction of the commercial, Tomi Ogunlesi, Divisional Head for Brands, Communications, Content and Storytelling at Interswitch, explained that the team intentionally rejected the use of AI in the production of the ad. Instead, they opted for a more human touch, driven by a team of African creatives.
“In an age where automation is increasingly glorified, we are essentially making a bet on human connection. We made a conscious choice to tell this story with heart—to let people see themselves, their families, and their daily hustle reflected on screen,” Ogunlesi explained.
