The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has entered into a strategic media partnership with News Central Television to enhance coverage, public engagement, and outreach for the upcoming Nigerian Economic Summit 2025.
The collaboration was formally sealed during a high-level meeting between the leadership teams of both organisations at News Central’s headquarters in Lagos. The move is aimed at ensuring wider public participation, transparency, and dissemination of key discussions and policy recommendations that will emerge from the highly anticipated summit.
The Nigerian Economic Summit, scheduled for 2025, is expected to focus on critical national issues such as economic stabilisation, inclusive growth, national competitiveness, and long-term development. It aligns closely with NESG’s reform agenda to address deep-rooted structural challenges in the Nigerian economy.
Speaking on the partnership, Chief Executive Officer of NESG, Dr. Tayo Aduloju, said the summit would serve as a platform for informed dialogue and constructive policy engagement. He noted that the partnership with News Central TV would significantly strengthen NESG’s advocacy efforts by helping deliver evidence-based content to a wider audience.
“This partnership is more than just about media visibility. It’s about fostering national conversations that matter. We believe that the media has a strategic role to play in ensuring that Nigerians understand the policies shaping their economic future,” Dr. Aduloju stated.
He also disclosed that the NESG plans to expand its footprint across West Africa through regional partnerships and satellite events, ahead of the main summit. These engagements are expected to foster regional integration and strengthen the shared goal of economic stability across borders.
News Central TV’s Managing Director, Mr. Kayode Akintemi, expressed excitement about the collaboration. He said the station is committed to amplifying conversations that inspire progress and development, particularly in areas affecting the economy, business, and governance.
“Our partnership with NESG reflects our editorial values of promoting insightful discourse that impacts the lives of Nigerians. We look forward to covering the Nigerian Economic Summit 2025 in a way that brings stakeholders closer to the issues, the data, and the solutions,” Akintemi said.
Both organisations acknowledged that with Nigeria currently facing inflation, currency pressures, and unemployment, the upcoming summit is a critical opportunity to drive actionable solutions and accountability.
Through this partnership, News Central will provide in-depth coverage of pre-summit events, interviews with stakeholders, live reports, expert analysis, and real-time updates across digital and traditional platforms. The aim is to give Nigerians—regardless of location or background—access to the summit’s content and outcomes.
The Nigerian Economic Summit is widely regarded as one of the country’s most influential economic platforms. Over the years, it has served as a convergence point for top government officials, private sector leaders, civil society actors, and development partners. The 2025 edition is expected to be even more impactful, as it comes at a time when Nigeria is charting a new course under a renewed economic reform strategy.
The NESG believes that this partnership with News Central will not only extend the reach of the summit but also help build national consensus on the tough reforms needed to reposition the economy.
Analysts have welcomed the development, noting that strategic communication and public engagement are essential components of good economic governance. With this media alliance, expectations are high that the outcomes of the Nigerian Economic Summit 2025 will resonate beyond conference halls and into communities where real change is needed.
