Parallex Bank Limited has announced the appointment of Mrs Rachel Akhuetie as a Non-Executive Director and member of its Board of Directors, adding significant depth to the bank’s leadership with her broad experience spanning over two decades.
In a statement released on Saturday, the bank confirmed that Mrs Akhuetie, who currently serves as Executive Director of Finance, Commercial, and Services at SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited, joins the Board with a rich background in finance, oil and gas, corporate governance, strategic innovation, and banking.
Mrs Akhuetie is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an alumna of Harvard Business School. Her career has cut across multiple sectors, equipping her with a versatile skillset and a strong leadership track record.
Welcoming her to the Board, the Managing Director of Parallex Bank, Dr Olufemi Bakre, described the appointment as a strategic move aimed at advancing the bank’s vision to redefine banking standards in Nigeria.
