PARK VIEW ESTATEÂ is one of the most luxurious estates in Lagos. It is situated in Ikoyi bordered by Banana Island and Gerrard road. The estate is owned by a royal family and is mainly residential. Although, it houses some private firms and guesthouses.
About the Estate
The estate consists of semi-detached duplexes, fully detached houses, terraces, townhouses, penthouses, and bungalows; there are also private businesses, schools, luxury hotels like Pearl court residence & hotel, Parkview Astoria hotels, Upper-class suites, and several others.
Houses in Parkview estate are usually built individually by private developers, landowners and eventually sold out to the public.
Parkview estate is managed by an association- Park view Residents Association registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). The association collects annual dues from residents’ and businesses.
Residents dues for those living in duplexes, mansions, bungalows, and detached houses is 172,000; residents living in flats pay 111,000. Landowners, schools, churches also pay their annual dues. The estate is a gated community in the highbrow area with only one major entrance manned by security guards as said earlier.

The estate is also home to some well respected high class/influential people- the High earning members of the society like Adenuga, Genevieve Nnaji, CEO’s/MD’s, Expatriates, politicians, business moguls to mention a few.
Parkview estate was obviously not built for the middle class. A view from the facade already oozes luxury class in a way that enchants the middle and lower class.

Reports have it that there has been no case of theft in the past decade due to the Estate’s top-level security. The estate security team does well to scrutinize visitors which reduces unwanted guests.

Traffic
From Lekki environs, the best way to go is to follow Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge to get to places around Ikoyi. The Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge connects Lekki phase 1 with Ikoyi environs. It serves as an alternative route in order to escape the Lekki and Ozumba Mbadiwe traffic. The Bridge spans a length of 1.36 km. There’s mostly traffic on the bridge between the hours of 6am and 8am; 4pm and 9pm.

Park View has its own shuttle buses and shuttle bus stop for movement within the estate.

The value of the estate has appreciated over the years due to its location. Since development, the estate has not stopped in value.

The con is the generation of electricity. It would be nice if they can improvise on a central generating unit.
