TD Africa Launches Weekly ‘Black Friday Every Friday’ Campaign for Tech Buyers

TD Africa, one of Africa’s leading tech distributors, has launched a new weekly campaign tagged Black Friday Every Friday, giving businesses and individuals regular access to discounted premium technology products. The company announced that the campaign will run every weekend—from Friday through Sunday night—and is available exclusively to registered partners on the TD Super App.

In a statement released on Tuesday, TD Africa said the initiative offers huge discounts on a wide range of tech gadgets and consumer electronics, including laptops, smartphones, scanners, printers, inks, toners, and more. The goal is to make essential digital tools more affordable and accessible across the continent.

This weekly deal is part of TD Africa’s broader mission to democratise access to technology and innovation in Africa. The company noted that by removing the wait for once-a-year mega sales, it is enabling people and businesses to get real-time access to essential devices at prices that deliver exceptional value.

The Head of Marketing at TD Africa, Fridel Makun, described the new campaign as more than just a sales promotion. He said it is a direct push to shift how people view and access technology across Africa.

“We’re not just running a promo. We’re shifting access,” said Makun. “Black Friday Every Friday is our way of saying that world-class technology should not be seasonal; it should be accessible, affordable, and always within reach.”

He explained that the idea behind the initiative is to keep empowering businesses and individuals across the continent by giving them weekly chances to own the technology tools they need for work, education, entertainment, and general digital empowerment.

According to Makun, the company believes technology is no longer a luxury but a necessary part of everyday life. By extending these discounted offers weekly, TD Africa is helping bridge the gap between demand and affordability, especially for small businesses and individuals who may not have the budget for high-end gadgets outside the typical Black Friday season.

Users of the TD Super App—an all-in-one shopping and business platform developed by TD Africa—can browse available discounted products, make purchases, and complete transactions in real-time. The app is designed to streamline procurement and logistics for tech products across Nigeria and other African markets.

The company also noted that the campaign fits into its wider goal of driving digital transformation and inclusion across the continent. In recent years, TD Africa has launched several empowerment programmes, including partnerships with global brands like Huawei to set up ICT academies, and initiatives to train women in digital skills.

Earlier this year, TD Africa empowered over 400 women with digital and entrepreneurial skills under a special programme aimed at bridging the gender gap in tech. It has also collaborated with universities and state governments to provide access to modern technology and learning tools.

Industry watchers believe the Black Friday Every Friday campaign could change how people shop for technology in Nigeria and across Africa. By offering steady access to discounted products, TD Africa is removing the seasonal nature of tech affordability and creating new shopping habits among customers.

TD Africa is part of the Zinox Group and is known for its strong footprint in the distribution of major global tech brands across West Africa. With this new campaign, it is further positioning itself as a leading force in Africa’s digital economy.
