Transparency Scape Launches InsurEase App to Simplify Insurance Access for Nigerians

A new digital platform has entered Nigeria’s insurance market with a promise to make insurance easier, cheaper, and more accessible to everyone. Transparency Scape Insurance Brokers Limited, on Tuesday, officially launched its mobile insurance application called InsurEase, aiming to remove barriers to insurance uptake using technology.

The app, which is now available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, enables users to buy insurance policies directly from their smartphones. From health and motor insurance to travel and device cover, the platform brings multiple policy options under one digital roof.

Speaking at the virtual launch event, Oluseyi Ifaturoti, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transparency Scape, described the launch as a “defining moment” for the company’s mission to bring insurance closer to Nigerians.

“We are thrilled to officially go live. Reaching this milestone has been a journey of perseverance, and we are excited to offer our customers peace of mind through a smart, easy-to-use app,” Ifaturoti said. “Our goal is to be a trusted partner as Nigerians navigate the often-complex world of insurance.”

InsurEase is designed with ease of use in mind. The app allows users to explore, compare, and purchase insurance plans in just a few taps. Payment is secured through trusted Nigerian fintech partners like Paystack and Budpay, ensuring smooth transactions.

The application also aggregates insurance offerings from leading providers, including AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, Leadway Assurance Company Limited, NEM Insurance Plc, Coronation Insurance Plc, Cornerstone Insurance Plc, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, Bastion HMO, and Tangerine Africa. This feature allows customers to choose plans from well-established companies that suit their needs and budgets.

Chief Operating Officer Olufela Olurin described the app as a reflection of the firm’s values of trust and transparency. He said, “InsurEase reflects our commitment to transparency and trust. By breaking down the barriers to insurance accessibility, we’ve made it easier for Nigerians to secure the protection they need. Our app simplifies the entire insurance journey, giving users greater peace of mind and confidence for their future.”

To ensure that the platform complies with industry regulations and maintains credibility, Transparency Scape collaborated with top regulators in the Nigerian insurance space. These include the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), and the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB).

Ifaturoti acknowledged the support from regulators and partners during the development of the platform. “We are grateful to our regulators for fostering innovation in the insurance space and to our insurance partners for trusting us with API integration. Their support has been instrumental to our success,” he added.

The launch of InsurEase comes at a time when Nigeria’s insurance penetration remains low, despite a large population and rising awareness of financial protection. Industry experts have often blamed this on complex procedures, lack of trust, and poor distribution. With its simple design and wide network of providers, InsurEase aims to address these challenges.

As fintech and insurtech continue to reshape financial services in Nigeria, InsurEase adds to the growing list of digital tools helping citizens manage risks and protect their assets. With just a smartphone, users can now access multiple insurance offerings, compare benefits and prices, make payments, and get policy documents—without stepping into an office.

According to industry watchers, if adopted widely, platforms like InsurEase could play a significant role in increasing insurance uptake in Nigeria, particularly among the tech-savvy youth and small business owners.
