Lasaco Assurance Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment, quality education, and meaningful community development with a series of impactful visits to primary schools across Nigeria, marking the 2025 Children’s Day celebration.

In Lagos, the company’s top executives visited Agidingbi Primary School in Ikeja, where they engaged pupils in motivational talks, shared educational materials, and encouraged the young learners to embrace discipline, integrity, and ambition as they pursue their dreams. The visit was not just celebratory, but also aimed at inspiring future leaders and reinforcing the value of education as a pathway to success.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Muyiwa Anwoju, General Manager of Business Development at Lasaco Assurance, highlighted the company’s longstanding dedication to educational development, especially in Lagos State.

“Children’s Day is a powerful reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. At Lasaco Assurance, we believe in investing in the future by supporting education and nurturing young minds,” Anwoju said.

Echoing this, Mrs. Bukola Moradeyo, Chief Financial Officer of the firm, explained that the initiative goes beyond ceremonial gestures. “Our visit is more than a celebration — it’s an intentional act of impact. We want these children to feel seen, valued, and empowered to achieve greatness,” she said.

Also speaking, Mr. Adetokun Adedayo, Head of Strategy, Research, and Communications, stated that the initiative forms part of the company’s broader vision of building stronger communities through education. He noted, “Lasaco Assurance Plc is not only committed to corporate growth but also community development through education. We believe strong communities are built on the foundation of knowledge and opportunity.”

The team from Lasaco Assurance distributed notebooks, writing materials, snacks, and branded souvenirs to the pupils during the visit. The children, in turn, showcased performances including cultural dances and poetry recitations in appreciation of the company’s support.

The Head Teacher of Agidingbi Primary School, Mrs. Hussein, thanked Lasaco Assurance for the thoughtful gesture, describing the event as “uplifting and timely.” She added, “This visit complements ongoing efforts by educational stakeholders in Lagos to build strategic partnerships that improve student performance and create a nurturing learning environment.”

Reflecting Lasaco’s national presence and community impact, regional offices of the company also marked Children’s Day in other parts of the country. In Port Harcourt, the South-South Regional Office visited State Primary School and Azuabie Primary School, distributing learning materials and engaging with pupils and teachers alike.

In Ibadan, the South-West Regional Office commemorated the day with students and staff of Methodist Primary School, Akintola Ekotedo, reinforcing the company’s mission to bridge education gaps and foster community goodwill across Nigeria.

Lasaco Assurance Plc, a leading name in Nigeria’s insurance and financial services sector, continues to align its corporate social responsibility (CSR) with national development goals, particularly in education and youth development. The company’s Children’s Day outreach initiative stands as a testament to its vision of empowering the next generation through sustained investment in education, inclusion, and opportunity.

As part of its ongoing community engagement efforts, the company revealed plans to roll out similar youth-focused CSR programs in the coming months, targeting underserved schools and communities with resources, mentorship, and learning tools.
