SIFAX Group has been honoured with the CSR Impact & Excellence Award by Media Consortium for its significant contributions to community development in Nigeria through impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects.
The award, titled “Outstanding CSR Initiative in Community Development,” recognises organisations that are making a measurable difference in society by promoting long-term, sustainable change. According to a statement released on Tuesday by the organisers, SIFAX Group was selected for its “transformative projects and sustained commitment to improving lives across various communities in Nigeria.”
The CSR award ceremony brought together various public and private organisations who were recognised for their service to society. The Media Consortium, a group of media professionals focused on promoting development-oriented journalism, noted that SIFAX stood out among other nominees because of the transparency, consistency, and reach of its outreach programmes.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mr Olumuyiwa Akande, Head of Corporate Communications at SIFAX Group, said the recognition was a major validation of the company’s mission and values. He emphasised that SIFAX does not just see itself as a business entity focused on profit but as an organisation responsible for societal growth.
“At SIFAX, we believe business growth must go hand-in-hand with societal progress. This award strengthens our resolve to keep making meaningful contributions that empower and uplift,” Akande said.
He further explained that the company’s CSR efforts are intentional and guided by a strategic plan aimed at improving the quality of life in communities where it operates. These include programmes in education, healthcare, youth development, and infrastructural support.
Over the years, SIFAX Group has implemented several notable CSR projects across Nigeria. These include scholarships for indigent students, medical outreach in underserved communities, donation of educational materials to schools, provision of water and sanitation facilities, and employment empowerment initiatives.
Media Consortium praised the group’s approach to CSR, saying it goes beyond token gestures and instead focuses on projects with long-lasting impact. “SIFAX Group stood out for its consistency, transparency, and the scale of its outreach programs. Their initiatives are not only sustainable but also reflect a deep understanding of the real needs of the communities,” the organisers noted in their statement.
This recognition adds to the growing list of awards and commendations received by SIFAX Group in recent years for both its business and humanitarian efforts.
