Spice 360 appoints Adefila as MD

by Radarr Africa

Spice 360, one of Nigeria’s well-known integrated marketing communications agencies, has just made two big appointments as it moves to strengthen its position in the industry. The agency announced that Mrs. Biodun Adefila has been named as the new Managing Director, while Mr. Rotimi Ade-Onojobi takes over as the new Creative Director. The announcement was made through an official letter signed by the agency’s Board of Directors, with both appointments taking effect immediately.

According to the Board, this development marks a fresh and strategic chapter in the company’s journey as it looks to grow stronger, become more innovative, and continue leading the marketing communications space both in Nigeria and the wider Sub-Saharan African region. The board added that these appointments show the company’s serious commitment to delivering strong, creative brand solutions in today’s fast-changing marketing environment.

Before joining Spice 360, Mrs. Adefila held the position of Chief Operating Officer at SO&U Limited, one of Nigeria’s respected advertising agencies. During her time there, she led many successful and transformative campaigns for top brands in the country. Adefila comes with rich experience in advertising and brand strategy. She holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and also completed the Advanced Management Programme at Lagos Business School.

She is not a stranger to recognition in the industry. Adefila is a former board member of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) and has received several awards. She was named the Outstanding Advertising Personality of the Year by Marketing Edge in 2020, and was also listed among the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing Communications by Brand Communicator in 2023.

In her new role as Managing Director, Mrs. Adefila is expected to take charge of business strategy, operations, and client partnerships at Spice 360. She will lead the team as they aim for market leadership and sustainable innovation across different countries in Africa.

On the other hand, Mr. Rotimi Ade-Onojobi comes with over ten years of experience in creative leadership across different platforms. He is well known in the industry for his ability to tell powerful brand stories and create engaging campaigns that reach today’s consumers both online and offline.

Ade-Onojobi has worked on several cross-platform campaigns that mix traditional, digital, and experiential marketing. In his new position at Spice 360, he will be responsible for leading the creative team and setting the vision for the agency’s campaigns. His job will include turning brand messages into memorable visuals and content that can connect with people in a meaningful way.

The appointments of Adefila and Ade-Onojobi come at a time when many businesses in Nigeria are looking for bold ideas and results-driven marketing strategies. Spice 360 says it is ready to meet those demands and take its services to new heights, with these two experienced professionals at the helm.

With this latest move, the agency is positioning itself not just as a service provider, but as a true partner to brands that want to stand out in a competitive marketplace. Industry observers say this leadership shake-up could give Spice 360 the extra push it needs to expand its influence beyond Nigeria and become a force across Africa’s marketing industry.
