Global smartphone brand, Infinix, has strengthened its footprint in Nigeria with the launch of a flagship retail outlet at Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja. The unveiling, which held on Sunday, also featured the introduction of the company’s premium gaming smartphone, the Infinix GT 30 Pro.

According to the company, the Abuja flagship store is not just a sales outlet but a hub designed to connect technology, lifestyle, and community. The Retail Manager of Infinix Nigeria, Mr. Bamidele Akande, said the choice of Jabi Lake Mall for the new facility was deliberate because of its strong mix of entertainment, lifestyle, and technology.

“For us, this store is more than a retail outlet; it’s an experience hub. It represents our commitment to innovation and closer engagement with our customers,” Akande said.

The store, he explained, features dedicated immersive zones where visitors can explore smartphones, accessories, and Infinix’s wider AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) ecosystem. It also boasts a gaming studio targeted at the brand’s growing community of performance and esports enthusiasts.

“Infinix is more than a phone brand. It is a lifestyle brand that listens, innovates, and connects with people. Today is proof of that, and we are just getting started,” Akande added.

Highlighting the day’s big reveal, Infinix Nigeria’s PR Manager, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Ode, said the GT 30 Pro was designed as a collector’s item specifically for gamers and power users. She disclosed that the smartphone delivers stable 120 to 144 frames per second gameplay, certified by top gaming titles such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Mobile Legends.

Powered by a Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor with advanced 3D Vapour Cooling technology, the device comes with a 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, JBL dual speakers, GT triggers, and motion controls. It also features a 108MP AI camera and a 5,500mAh battery that supports both fast charging and wireless charging.

To enhance exclusivity, Infinix announced that only 30 units of the GT 30 Pro would be made available in Nigeria.

The launch ceremony was attended by the Permanent Secretary for Special Duties and Parliamentary Security at the National Assembly, Dr. Yomi Omogbehin. He described the investment as a sign of Abuja’s growing importance as a hub for commerce and opportunity.

“This flagship store is a testament to Abuja’s rising importance as a hub of commerce and opportunity. This investment creates jobs, empowers young people, and contributes to the city’s growth,” Omogbehin said.

He further encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace opportunities in technology and innovation, stressing that with resilience and dedication, they can compete globally.

As part of its wider strategy, Infinix also announced its partnership with PUBG Mobile to host the inaugural 2025 PUBG Mobile Africa Cup. The tournament concluded in Kenya on September 14 with a prize pool of $8,000, with the GT 30 Pro serving as the official device.

The event also featured a Gaming Fan Festival that included cosplay competitions, cheer squads, and prize draws, underlining the brand’s commitment to esports and youth culture in Africa.

To celebrate the Abuja flagship launch, customers who bought Infinix devices between September 12 and 13 were entered into raffle draws to win home appliances, smartphones, and accessories. Celebrity appearances added glamour to the event, with Bisola Aiyeola, Kenny Blaq, Saga Adeolu, Papeeyah, and MC Miti entertaining guests, alongside interactive XCLUB fan challenges and games.

In her closing remarks, Ode said the new Abuja store reflected the brand’s broader vision of driving smart living in Nigeria and beyond.

“The new Infinix store is a hub for innovation, creativity, and community. Launching our GT 30 Pro here is a strong statement that we are committed to driving the future of smart living and performance-driven devices,” she said.
