Falcon Corporation Limited, a leading player in Nigeria’s gas and energy sector, has announced that Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo will become its new Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2026. The announcement marks a major leadership transition in the company’s history, as its founding Managing Director, Professor Joseph Ezigbo, prepares to step down after over three decades at the helm.

According to a statement from the company, the change in leadership is part of a structured succession plan that aligns with Falcon Corporation’s long-term vision. Professor Ezigbo, who co-founded the company with Audrey Joe-Ezigbo in 1994, described the transition as the culmination of 31 years of steady growth and transformation.

“It has been the honour of my professional life to lead Falcon Corporation through more than three decades of growth and transformation,” Ezigbo said. “Audrey’s strategic vision and commitment to excellence make her the right choice for this next era. We started this company together, and I have every confidence in her ability to lead it forward.”

Mrs Joe-Ezigbo currently serves as the Deputy Managing Director and has been actively involved in steering many of Falcon’s major initiatives over the years. With over 30 years of executive experience in the energy sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her new role.

Reacting to her appointment, Mrs Joe-Ezigbo said the transition marked a major milestone in Falcon’s journey and affirmed her commitment to the company’s continued evolution.

“As a Co-Founder and integral part of Falcon since its inception, I have been deeply involved in shaping its vision, growth, and successes,” she said. “Building on the solid foundation of the past three decades, I am committed to accelerating Falcon’s transformative growth with operational excellence, focused innovation, and responsible leadership.”

She also emphasised the company’s ongoing dedication to delivering value to stakeholders and positively impacting communities. “Under my leadership, Falcon will continue to deliver sustained, exceptional value to our stakeholders while making a powerful and positive impact on the communities we serve.”

The Board of Directors highlighted that her elevation reflects her strong track record in corporate governance, financial management, and handling large-scale operations.

Falcon Corporation was established in 1994 and has since become a significant contributor to Nigeria’s gas and energy sector, particularly in the area of gas distribution and infrastructure development. The company is known for its focus on providing innovative energy solutions while promoting corporate and environmental responsibility.

The company stressed that the leadership change does not signal any deviation from its core values or mission. Rather, it is intended to strengthen continuity and future growth as Falcon positions itself for the next phase of expansion in Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.

This transition comes at a time when Nigeria’s gas industry is undergoing reforms aimed at increasing domestic utilisation, improving infrastructure, and attracting private sector investment. Falcon’s planned leadership shift, therefore, aligns with the broader national agenda of deepening local capacity and ensuring sustainability in the energy sector.
