Neeva secures a $40 million Series B funding, a dedicated platform that operates without ads and free from the prying eyes of advertisers, gives users a new internet experience and the value for their money.

Founded by ex-Google employees Sridhar Ramaswamy, the Chief Executive Officer, who had worked at Google for 15 years, where he built and ran Google’s ad division, and Vivek Raghunathan, Google’s Monetization Vice President at YouTube for 12 years.

The two ex-Google employees have acquired vast experience during their active working years in Google, and they are willing to use it for the success of the Neeva.  

Traditionally, search engines are powered by advertising which means that users’ data are collected from each search queries by owners of the platforms and then sold to advertising agencies who use the data for marketing. 

The founders of this platform says though data of customers will be collected, it will be used to provide additional services such as protection against malicious activity, providing access to certain functionalities, and enabling users to share content with others but will never be passed on to advertisers or third parties.

Neeva will operate on a subscription basis, users can subscribe for a monthly fee between $5 to $10.
