Marketing Analytics Africa has announced that the 2025 edition of its flagship event, the Africa Marketing Technology and E-commerce Conference (AMTEC), will take place on May 24 in Lagos. Themed “Marketing in the New Economy: Data-Driven Success in Challenging Times,” the summit is aimed at equipping African brands and marketing professionals with the latest digital strategies, tools, and data-driven insights to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.

Victor Ojeakhena, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Marketing Analytics Africa, said the event is designed to bridge knowledge gaps and empower marketing leaders to navigate the rapidly evolving digital economy.

“AMTEC is an annual marketing event that brings together thought leaders, executives, marketing innovators, and data strategists from across Africa to explore the latest trends, tools, and tactics in martech, e-commerce, data intelligence, and customer experience optimisation,” Ojeakhena stated.

This year’s summit promises an impressive lineup of industry experts, including Managing Partner at Open Squares Africa, Feyi Olubodun; Chief Marketing Officer of Sterling Bank Plc, Maurice Igugu; Head of Marketing at Colgate, Tomisin Adetola; and Head of Sponsorship and Events at First Bank, Chinwe Bode-Akinwande.

In addition to the speakers, several major brands have signed on as official partners for AMTEC 2025. These include Colgate, Nutrify, Addmie, Indomie, Ladycare, DStv Nigeria, Dochase, Legit.ng, Cybertron, and Accret Experience. Their participation is seen as an endorsement of the summit’s value to the marketing and e-commerce industry across Africa.

Ojeakhena explained that the event’s goals include empowering marketers with actionable digital strategies, showcasing the power of data and new technologies in driving scalable growth, fostering meaningful professional networks, and promoting collaborations that support long-term innovation across the continent.

With the continent’s digital economy expected to expand rapidly over the next decade, AMTEC 2025 comes at a crucial time. African businesses are under pressure to become more data-driven and adaptable in the face of global economic uncertainty, shifting consumer behaviour, and emerging technology trends such as AI, automation, and personalisation.
