Netflix Removes 30-Day Free Trial

by Radarr Africa

Are you still sitting on the fence about whether or not to subscribe to Netflix movies? You no longer have the option to have a 30days free trial as Netflix has scrapped its 30- day free trial option.

Even though some news channels had earlier suggested it was scrapping its 30days free trial globally, it was still available on US websites. However, recently it has been confirmed that it has put an end to the free one month trial even for UK users. So if you were ever thinking of seeing one or two free episodes you’ll have to pay to do that.

However, most people are of the opinion that with the number of  Netflix subscribers in the UK (over 11.6millon) anyone that wanted a free test trial would have already tried it out before now.

Going forward, everyone is wondering if this will reduce the number of Netflix subscribers as some of its competitors like Amazon, Hulu, still offer a free trial period for new users.
When asked why they scrapped the free trial period, on the UK account their delegate said: “We’re looking at different marketing promotions in the UK to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience.”
Meanwhile, we were not told what those new promotions might be. It’s possible that they may try some of their old marketing strategies, like giving discount offers for streaming services and paid subscriptions or giving some bonus content for free.
