Afroganiks Industries Limited, a Nigerian health and wellness company, has announced plans to take a strong position in the global wellness industry, which is valued at $6.3 trillion. The company said it is building a multinational business model that will expand its reach across Africa, create thousands of jobs, and set a new standard for African-led health entrepreneurship.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afroganiks Industries, Dr. Jephter Akaehie, said the company’s strength lies in Africa’s rich biodiversity. He explained that Afroganiks is producing high-quality, organically-sourced supplements and wellness products that can compete locally and globally. “We believe in providing high-quality, affordable, and organically-sourced health supplements and wellness products for local and global markets,” Akaehie said in a statement on Wednesday.
Afroganiks’ approach combines indigenous African herbs with modern scientific research and innovative manufacturing methods. The company said this process ensures that its products are both effective and evidence-based. So far, the firm has developed a wide range of certified herbal medicines and food supplements targeting key health areas including digestive health, fertility, prostate wellness, and vaginal care.
The company is already making an impact in West Africa, having served more than 500,000 customers. Afroganiks also supports small and medium-sized businesses through contract manufacturing and training, allowing other brands to develop their own products under private labels. Akaehie described this model as a way of growing Africa’s health and wellness ecosystem. “We are not just a business; we are a catalyst for economic growth and health education,” he noted.
In addition to selling its own products, Afroganiks provides contract manufacturing and private labelling services, creating new revenue streams and opportunities for collaboration. This has opened the door for other entrepreneurs to launch health-focused brands with strong manufacturing backing. The company said these initiatives are helping to grow Africa’s health sector and strengthen local capacity.
Looking to the future, Afroganiks has set ambitious expansion targets. The company plans to enter new international markets while continuing to invest in product research and development. One of its major long-term goals is to improve Africa’s manufacturing strength. To achieve this, Afroganiks has launched the Young African Business School of Manufacturing, a training platform designed to prepare the next generation of African manufacturers.
Through this initiative, the company wants to encourage more African-made products in global markets, while building skills and capacity on the continent. Dr. Akaehie said Afroganiks is determined to prove that African tradition and science can work together to create sustainable solutions for health and economic growth. “We want the world to see Africa’s potential, not just as a consumer but as a producer of high-quality wellness products,” he added.
Afroganiks stressed that its products are approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and are produced in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant facilities. This, the company said, shows its commitment to meeting global standards while maintaining African authenticity in its products.
Industry observers believe Afroganiks’ expansion plan could position Nigeria as a leading hub in the wellness market, especially as global demand for natural and herbal products continues to grow.
