Central Bank of Egypt collects EGP 100B from local banks

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) collected EGP 100 billion from local banks in the weekly open market operations (OMO) auction at a fixed rate of 11.75%, according to data published on Tuesday.

The offered bids amounted to EGP 449.1 billion, CBE’s data showed.

Moreover, the auction’s maturity date is August 23rd

On August 15th, the CBE announced the issuance of treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 11 billion in an auction.
