Former OpenAI & Google AI Experts launches HyperDev

HyperDev has launched the first version of its generative artificial intelligence coding platform, as companies in the global technology sector increasingly explore tools that automate parts of the software development process.

The platform is designed to allow users to prototype and build applications using large language models, reflecting the growing adoption of artificial intelligence tools in software engineering and product development.

Industry analysts say the emergence of AI powered coding systems is gradually reshaping how software is built, enabling individuals with limited technical backgrounds to experiment with application development.

HyperDev said the platform is intended for developers, entrepreneurs and other users seeking to build applications without relying entirely on traditional coding workflows.

The company was founded by a team that includes Piotr Sobolewski and Riaz Moola, both of whom have previously worked in artificial intelligence research and development.

Sobolewski previously worked at OpenAI where he contributed to work on ChatGPT, while Moola was part of the language model team within the search division at Google.

Both founders also carried out research in artificial intelligence at the University of Cambridge, experience they say contributed to the development of the platform’s core technology.

According to the company, the platform incorporates a proprietary system known as “Guided Mode,” which assists users in generating and managing code produced by large language models.

Sobolewski said the goal of the technology is to make AI based development tools easier to use for individuals who may lack advanced programming skills.

“We are building AI systems that help people use AI more effectively,” he said, adding that many users experimenting with AI coding tools often encounter technical limitations when attempting to complete software projects.

HyperDev said the system is designed to generate full stack applications that can be deployed for practical use rather than being limited to experimental prototypes.

The platform includes tools that help detect and correct faulty code generated by AI models, as well as rule based systems that guide the development process.

Anton Moulder said the platform also includes an option for users to obtain assistance from human developers when technical challenges arise.

“By introducing an intelligent support layer, we allow users to address technical problems in real time while still having access to expert assistance if needed,” Moulder said.

HyperDev said the launch forms part of a broader technology ecosystem linked to HyperionDev, a training organisation that focuses on technology education and career development for software developers.

The company said the integration allows users of the platform to access training programmes aimed at strengthening technical skills for those pursuing careers in software development.

The release of the platform comes at a time when several technology companies are introducing AI assisted development tools as part of a wider shift towards automation in programming and digital product creation.
