Industry Leaders to Chart Nigeria’s Energy Future at 2025 NOG Energy Week in Abuja

by Radarr Africa

Top energy industry stakeholders from around the world are expected to converge in Abuja from June 29 to July 3, 2025, for the 24th NOG Energy Week, which is regarded as Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest energy gathering.

Themed ‘Accelerating Global Energy Progress Through Investment, Partnerships & Innovation’, the event will bring together over 7,000 participants, including government policymakers, regulators, corporate leaders, and technical professionals from more than 85 countries.

According to a statement by the organisers, the week-long event aims to align government policy, industry strategy, and technical expertise to foster a more resilient and future-oriented energy ecosystem across Africa. The NOG Energy Week will feature a Strategic Conference, CPD-accredited Technical Seminar, Nigerian Content Seminar, International Exhibition, Energy Awards, Leadership Roundtables, a Golf Day, and an exclusive Energy Club.

At the heart of the programme is the Strategic Conference, which will include ministerial sessions, strategic panel discussions, and energy talks. Discussions will focus on Africa’s role within the shifting global energy order, how to secure energy supply while achieving climate goals, and how to build resilient energy systems through innovation and investment.

Wemimo Oyelana, Country Director – Nigeria and Portfolio Director – Energy at dmg Nigeria events, described the event as “a strategic catalyst for Africa’s evolving energy narrative.”

He said, “NOG Energy Week 2025 is more than just a convening of industry players; it is a platform that drives partnerships, unlocks investment, and ensures that Africa’s voice remains central in shaping a sustainable and resilient global energy future.”

Running concurrently with the main conference, the Technical Seminar is designed for engineers, scientists, project managers, and innovators seeking professional development in key areas such as midstream infrastructure, modular gas systems, drilling operations, sustainability, and emissions reduction. The seminar is CPD-certified, offering practical, multi-disciplinary training to improve technical capacity in the sector.

In addition to thought leadership and innovation showcases, NOG Energy Week 2025 will offer networking opportunities designed to facilitate strategic partnerships across the energy value chain. Events like the Leadership Roundtables and Energy Awards are expected to highlight exceptional contributions, while the Energy Club will serve as an exclusive space for high-level collaboration.

The focus of the 2025 edition reflects the increasing complexity of global energy systems and Africa’s dynamic role in energy transition efforts. With growing demand for cleaner energy and a global push toward low-carbon development, the forum offers stakeholders a timely opportunity to forge collective action toward inclusive, sustainable energy growth.
