Veritas Kapital introduces Insurance Policy to Customer via WhatsApp

Nigeria’s leading insurance company Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, has introduced an interactive WhatsApp platform that will enable people to buy insurance policies in Nigeria in five minutes.

According to a press statement, Veritas stated that the WhatsApp channel is the fastest and most secure way to buy an insurance policy on the go.

The insurer explained that this initiative was introduced to make subscribing to insurance packages seamless and further deepen insurance penetration in the country.

“In a bid to further the company’s mission of putting insurance at the fingertips of everyday Nigerians, Veritas Kapital Assurance is determined to continuously innovate to the benefit of customers.

“This Interactive WhatsApp Platform will change the way that everyday Nigerians can purchase insurance,” a part of the statement issued by the underwriter stated.

According to the company, Nigerians can buy insurances that cover household damages and theft, accident, fire, business interruption, and third-party motor coverage.

Veritas further stated that the pricing of the retail insurance products ranges from N1,750 to N25,000 and that it provides coverage of up N3 million.

The company added that these insurance products are easy to understand by everyday Nigerians and can be purchased within five minutes without requiring a broker, sales staff or intermediary.

How to Buy Insurance Plans Within 5 Minutes

In order to purchase any of the insurance policies, an intending or existing customer would have to visit the company’s website or via an SMS by texting VKA to 32811 to get started. The organisation can also be reached through its various social media platforms for further details.

Insurance in Nigeria is still battling to remain relevant as a result of different factors including religious and superstitious beliefs. Also, some insurance companies have made buying their policies difficult because of the issue of trust as subscribers find it difficult to get their claims.
