Facebook Appoints Enitan Denloye As Sub Sahara Africa Commercial Director

Social media giant, Facebook has appointed former Liquid Intelligent Technologies Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Enitan Denloye as Commercial Director for the Sub Sahara Africa region.

The new commercial director will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies according to the company’s goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth among other functions. Enitan is said to be astute strategic marketing professional with many years of experience in the IMC industry with specialities that cut across Sales & Marketing, Growth Strategy in industries such as Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Telecommunications and consulting.

Prior to this appointment, Denloye worked extensively as the Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Liquid Intelligent Technologies where he was tasked with developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy across all its countries of operation.

With over two decades of professional experience spanning FMCG, marketing, advertising, business planning, telecoms, consulting, product development, and strategic planning amongst others, Denloye also served as the Vice President of Brands & Advertising at Airtel Nigeria.

He had joined Airtel in 2015 after his exit from Etisalat where started as Director, Brands & Communications before becoming Director, Brands & Customer Experience. Earlier in his marketing and brand building career, Enitan worked for Procter & Gamble Nigeria where he was selected by the Vice President of the company himself to manage the company’s flagship brand and also got nominated for the impressive P&G brand management and advertising training programmes in Switzerland, France and Netherlands.

He was also in Coca-Cola Nigeria (June 2002 – August 2004) as Region Advertising Manager where he spearheaded the day-to-day management of all Coca-Cola advertising agencies- McCann, Ogilvy, Lowe and J.Walter Thompson, to develop communication strategy and materials for Coca-Cola brands.

He also worked for McKinsey & CO as Strategy Consultant and became Head of Sales Field Force at British American Tobacco before stepping into the telecoms industry.

Enitan Denloye holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, and a BSc in Economics from the University of Ibadan.
