The 25% tuition-fee waiver scholarship is provided to outstanding students who want to undergo a degree program at the University of Queensland, Australia. Scholarship applications are only open to new students each semester.

The Canterbury Christ Church University has established the International Students Scholarships for the academic year 2022-2023.

This scholarship award is a tuition fee discount worth £1,500 that will be automatically deducted each year of study. The students must have applied for an undergraduate or postgraduate study programme at CCCU and be identified as overseas students to be eligible for the award.

Nexford university partners Piggyvest, grants scholarships

A United States-based Nexford University, in partnership with Africa-based financial technology company, Piggyvest, is set to provide Nigerian students with scholarships amid the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The scholarship is designed to help 40 Nigerian students affected by the ASUU strike to advance their skills in Business Analytics, Product Management, 360 Degrees in Marketing and Digital Transformation.

A statement quoted Nexford University as describing its partnership with Piggyvest as another step in its commitment to affordable and uninterrupted education.

The statement also noted that Piggyvest would bear 100 per cent of the tuition fees for select programmes to be taken by the beneficiaries.

The Chief Operating Officer/Co-founder of Piggyvest, Odunayo Eweniyi, said the company, with over three million customers, was committed to promoting educational opportunities for young Nigerians affected by the ASUU strike.

 She said, “As a company founded by young Nigerians, who had the fortune to meet in university, we are more than committed to playing a part, however small, in making sure that undergraduates affected by the ongoing strike have an avenue to continue learning.

“We are partnering Nexford University on this initiative because we sincerely believe that continuous learning is essential to development. We hope that access to these courses, which build some of the most in-demand skills today, is a start.”

The Director of Career Innovation for Nexford, Dr Jennifer Bangoura, said, “Through strategic partnership with key players in different sectors, the university continues to expand its reach globally.”
