Lagos State House of Assembly member Desmond Elliot has apologised to President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and appealed to return to the APC.
Elliot Seeks Forgiveness
Elliot was seen in a video kneeling before Gbajabiamila and asking for forgiveness over his actions during the APC primary election for Surulere Constituency I.

“I’m sorry, I have no excuse, I have nothing other than to say I’m deeply sorry and I am hoping to be cultured in the future,” Elliot said.
The apology followed a disagreement between the lawmaker and APC leaders after the party’s May primary.
Elliot had withdrawn from the exercise, alleging intimidation and pressure against his supporters, before rejecting the result and threatening to challenge it through the party’s appeal process.
Elliot Lost APC Ticket
He eventually lost the ticket to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who was believed to have Gbajabiamila’s backing.
Odunuga-Bakare secured 11,385 votes, while Elliot polled 270.
