The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of Kano-based political commentator Ibrahim Khalil Dan Shagamu, who was found dead at his home in Gaida, Kano State.
Investigation Into Killing Begins

Dan Shagamu, a social media commentator known for his political views, was reportedly found in a pool of blood at his residence.
His death sparked reactions from political figures and rights groups, with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the deceased.
Amnesty International Nigeria also condemned the killing, saying outspoken critics should be protected in a democracy.
The organisation said, “In a democracy, outspoken persons or critics are accommodated, listened to, not killed.”
The latest arrests are expected to help investigators establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.
