President Kagame express his condolences to Namibians

President Kagame express his condolences to Namibians

President Paul Kagame has condoled with Mrs. Monica Geingos and Namibians in general, for the death of President Dr. Hage Geingob who attended at the age of 82.

President Dr Hage Geingob passed away in the early hours of Sunday 04 January 2024 at the Lady Pohamba Hospital, located in the capital Windhoek.

The President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, through his social media, supported Namibians, especially the wife of the President Dr Hage Geingob, Monica Geingos insisting that her leadership was characterized by serving the people.

He said, “His leadership in the struggle for the liberation of Namibia, his tireless dedication to serving his people, and his commitment to the United African Union, will always be remembered by generations to come.”

Nangolo Mbumba, the Vice President of Namibia, announced that Geingob died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In a statement, Mbumba said: “By his side is his wife Monica Geingos and his children.”

President Geingob last month publicly announced that he was diagnosed with cancer, and after his death, his office said that he had plans to go to the United States for treatment this February.
