WhatsApp is officially modifying the date on which people have to review and accept its Terms of Service.
Since the notifications went out across its platform, millions of its users have downloaded alternative encrypted messaging apps such as Signal and Telegram.
On the 15th of January, Whatsapp officially wrote on Twitter they never plan to delete any account and will not do so in the future.
WhatsApp has now changed the cut-off date from 8th of February to 15th May, saying it would use the time to clear up misinformation and give users enough time to review the policy.
“We can’t see your private messages or hear your calls, and neither can Facebook,” WhatsApp said in a FAQ blog post.
