LAGOS, October 28 (Radarr Africa) – Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has published its initial public offering (IPO) prospectus, showing revenue of nearly $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026 and a commitment to spend up to $120.5 billion on computing capacity from SpaceX, according to Fox Business and Yahoo Finance.

The filing was released on Monday, October 26. Anthropic had filed confidentially in June, Fox Business reported. The company plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker “ANT”, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading the underwriting syndicate.

The prospectus does not give the number of shares to be sold or a proposed price range, Fox Business said. Anthropic raised $65 billion in late May at a post-money valuation of $965 billion, which placed it ahead of OpenAI, the same report said.

Anthropic’s revenue grew from $386 million in 2024 to nearly $4.6 billion in 2025, according to the filing as reported by Fox Business. For the first six months of 2026 it was nearly $16.3 billion, against just over $1.1 billion in the same period of 2025. The filing notes that revenue is concentrated among a limited number of customers and distribution channels.

Yahoo Finance reported that second-quarter revenue was $11.6 billion, up from $4.7 billion in the first quarter. Compute costs in the second quarter were $5.6 billion, up from $3.4 billion. The company reported operating income of $974 million in the second quarter, compared with an operating loss of $1.7 billion in the first.

Compute and infrastructure spending was $433 million in 2023, more than $2.5 billion in 2024 and above $7.3 billion in 2025, Fox Business reported. It rose from more than $2.3 billion in the first half of 2025 to more than $8.9 billion in the first half of 2026. Anthropic expects it to remain its largest operating expense.

Under what the filing calls the “SpaceXAI Arrangements”, Anthropic agreed to spend up to $120.5 billion over terms extending into 2029, Yahoo Finance reported. That works out at about $3.1 billion a month once all capacity is delivered, which the company expects in December 2026.

On Monday, Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley announced a $63 billion transaction to deploy AI computing capacity using Broadcom technology for Anthropic, Investing.com reported. A new special purpose vehicle will buy Broadcom’s XPU AI accelerators and networking products and lease them to Anthropic, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027.

Hock Tan, Broadcom’s chief executive, said: “Fundamentally, the need for AI compute continues to grow at an extraordinary pace.” Jon Gray, president and chief operating officer of Blackstone, said demand for AI is creating a large opportunity to finance computing capacity at scale.

Broadcom shares rose 4% on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. The S&P 500 gained 0.6% and the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.2%, the agency said.

Kyle Rodda, an analyst at Capital.com, said the filing “helped boost market sentiment and supported a tech-led rebound on Wall Street”, TheStreet reported.

The prospectus also lists risks. Yahoo Finance said it warns that AI models might pose a “catastrophic or existential risk to humanity, particularly if such systems were misused”, and that the insurance industry may not be sufficient to cover its liability from a catastrophic AI incident. Fox Business noted that chief executive Dario Amodei has called for frontier laboratories to “pace the frontier” of development.

Some employees and insiders can sell shares on the first trading day, with further lockup expirations on the 27th, 48th, 62nd and 76th days across more than 20 unlock windows over a year, according to Yahoo Finance. The company had about 5,300 employees at September 30.

Fox Business said SpaceX raised $75 billion at a $1.75 trillion valuation in its June IPO, and that OpenAI filed confidentially in June and expects to list by early 2027.
