Dollar-Naira Rate: Naira Holds Steady at ₦1,326

The naira opened the week relatively stable against the dollar, with the official exchange rate at about ₦1,326.84 while the parallel market remained higher. 

Official and Parallel Rates

At the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, the dollar was quoted at approximately ₦1,326.84 on Monday, September 14, 2026.

In the parallel market, the dollar traded at about ₦1,380 to buy and ₦1,390 to sell.

This represents a gap of roughly ₦63 between the official rate and the parallel-market selling price.

At the prevailing parallel rate, $100 would cost about ₦139,000, while $1,000 would require approximately ₦1.39 million.

Naira Shows Relative Stability

The naira’s recent performance has been supported by improved dollar liquidity and efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria to stabilise the foreign exchange market.

Official market trading has remained within the ₦1,320–₦1,330 range, while the parallel market has hovered around ₦1,390.
